Returns & Refunds

Last updated: May 2026

We want you to love every piece you take home. This policy sets out your rights and our process if something isn't right.

In-person sales

Items inspected and collected in person from our Dún Laoghaire premises are sold as seen. We strongly recommend a viewing by appointment before committing to a purchase.

Distance sales (online & phone)

Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, where you buy without seeing the piece in person you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the day you receive the item to change your mind.

  • Notify us in writing at hello@bankdunlaoghaire.com within 14 days.
  • Return the piece in the same condition, at your own cost, within a further 14 days.
  • We will refund the purchase price (excluding original delivery) within 14 days of receiving the item back, using the original payment method.

The cooling-off period does not apply to items personalised or modified to your specification.

Faulty or misdescribed items

If a piece arrives damaged or materially differs from its description, contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange repair, replacement or a full refund (including return shipping) in line with your statutory rights under the Sale of Goods Acts and Consumer Rights Act 2022.

Please note: minor wear, patina, age-related marks and natural variation are part of the character of antique and vintage pieces and are not considered faults.

Prop hire

Hire bookings are governed by your individual hire agreement. Cancellation terms and deposit refunds are set out there.

How to start a return

Email hello@bankdunlaoghaire.com with your order details and a photo of the item. We aim to reply within two working days.
